What is the Law of Attraction?

The Law of Attraction is the most powerful law in the universe. It is the principle that like attracts like. For example, positive attracts positive, and negative attracts negative. Therefore, what you focus on, positive or negative, attracts just that and then manifests in reality. To break it down, the Law of Attraction is the universal law that allows you to manifest whatever you focus on. So it is important to understand that the trick to life and receiving all your desires is using “The Secret” in your favor.

What is the secret to the Law of Attraction?

In one word, gratitude.

Since positive attracts positive, what is the single most positive thought you can have?… Gratitude!! Gratitude is the only way to focus on all positive aspects of your life at a single time. It’s a feeling that brings complete wholeness with what you have right now!

Simply, be grateful for what you already have. Be grateful for the blessings that are already in your life, no matter how small or unimportant they may seem. Feel gratitude for absolutely EVERYTHING. Most importantly, be grateful now for the things that you desire as if they are already here. Be grateful for those things as if they are in your possession!

Why does gratitude work?

The universe doesn’t understand words, it understands feelings. When you think positive thoughts and practice creative visualization you create the energy flow of positivity, wholeness, and love which the universe deciphers and delivers. When you feel genuine gratitude for the blessings you already have, the universe feeds on that momentum to give you more to be grateful for. When you feel gratitude for what you desire as if it has already come into existence, that is the momentum the universe deciphers to bring you what you asked for!

Basically, gratitude is the most powerful positive feeling you could ever radiate! Once you are truly grateful, manifestation follows.

How to practice gratitude

There are many ways to practice gratitude, here are a few of my favorites! Remember, be grateful for what you have AND what you desire!!

Journal

Journaling is a wonderful way to practice gratitude because writing down what you are grateful for helps you gain a new perspective of what is important. Journaling will help you clarify what you want to have more of in your life and helps you become more self-aware.

If you’ve never journaled before, you may be wondering where to start. My two favorite ways to journal are guided journaling and freewriting.

Freewriting is a simple approach to journaling. Simply, grab a pen and paper. Then, clear your mind and let the words flow. Write your emotions, write a story, write a poem, write a letter…just get the words out! Get everything out of your system! Only YOU will see this so let it out without any filter!

Guided journaling is a great way to relieve an overwhelmed, stressed, and anxious mind! This method of journaling consists of using prompts, worksheets, and similar activities to guide your thoughts. Sometimes it’s hard to think of things to be grateful for when you’re down in the dumps; Guided journaling expands your mind and challenges your thinking.

Say It!

Every day take time to say out loud what you’re grateful for as well as for what’s to come as if it was already here and fully feel the emotions that come with it. It is important to vocalize your gratitude as hearing yourself say what you feel attracts a more powerful energy flow. You can do this first thing in the morning, before bed, in the car, etc. At the end of the day, it doesn’t matter when you do it just as long as you do it and stay consistent!

Mind What You Say

That’s right, watch what you say!

People who are grateful and positive have a way of speaking that brings more positivity into their life. Instead of being a negative Nancy, you need to be a positive Polly. I know that is cheesy but trust me, when you speak with happiness and love more of that energy flows into your life. This not only means to speak positively about yourself but also with others.

For example, when someone does something nice for you say “thank you” and let them know how much you appreciate their kindness. Before you eat or drink anything embrace the fact you are lucky to have food and water. After a workout, feel grateful that you are able to exercise and take care of your body. Find anything and everything to be grateful for…remember, behind every negative are at least three positives!

Final Thoughts

Practice any form of gratitude every day and you will see so much more opportunity, positivity, and abundance flow into your life! All these methods are quick and easy so NO EXCUSES!!
