what is wicca?

First and foremost, Wicca is a pagan religion with the foundation of living peacefully among everything and everyone. People who practice this religion are called Wiccans or sometimes, witches.

Wicca, when followed correctly, is a peaceful way of living that uses energies from everything around to bring about positivity and peace. Wiccans practice rituals, or spells, to meditate on and draw energy from different sources to manifest their desires into existence.

types of modern witches

Being a witch means you are in tune with the universe and the energy it has to offer. This means you are able to harness the powerful energy the universe naturally emits and use it in your favor. Energy comes from many different sources such as crystals, flowers, herbs, candles, the moon, spirits, etc. Every witch is different and uses the energy of one or all these sources to practice their craft. When you understand your own energy you will know from which source or sources you are able to effectively draw from in order to powerfully manifest.

The types of witches I am about to go into detail about are not necessarily “traditional witches”…I just want to put that disclaimer out there before we get into it. Also, keep in mind that witchcraft is always evolving to fit the ever-changing energies around and within us. Another thing, don’t ever feel like you must stick to being one type of witch as you may fit into multiple categories.
